I was the secretary-treasure of our school's PTA!
I tried to keep the records! What else can I say?
They were rotten entries, this I now proclaim.
But no one ever taught me. So I am not to blame!
I did not steal the money. I knew it was not mine.
I was always in a hurry and did not have the time.
Yes, I sort of made things up, as I went along
and stuffed the money in a bag... now tell me...
was that wrong?
