Embraced

Auroras shine brightly

over the chapel;

they look between arches
that frame two lovers,

in embrace that tastes
of red wine sweetness

and bodies' sway as one.

They look for us
to dance with again.

Every year, I am here,
every March I hold you close,

and they still see us swaying.

This was really really beautiful! I loved this..one of my favourites. I admire the way you can write free verse so brilliantly, I find it so hard to do myself so when I read a poem of yours I love it!! I love your style, your language and the beautiful imagery you incorporate to make this a masterpiece! Wonderful!

This is beautiful--in imagery but also just a little sad, maybe not so much sad, but the lyrics make it a both lovely and winsomely. I also really enjoyed reading it!

You have defined passion's locked in moments to be savored, tasted and be charmed by, over and over....just as all passions should be. Fantastic relation between time and love......

    Distant charm...I like that.
The dreams and desires that linger are usually the strongest. I think you conveyed that well with the 'every March' line.
    A lovely poem

    Emotionally Expressive...

The palpitations of this poem are euphonious! The whispery delivery divine. The imagery is captivating and graceful...

    "They look for us,
    to dance with again,
    every year, I am there,
every March I hold you close,

so they still see us swaying."

I only saw the author notes after I'd thought - "Wow, this makes me think of that other poem I read recently - Peteskid's one." - so very well accomplished then. You took that inspiration but made it yours. Stunning.
