Just when I thought that I was whole
I couldn't fake it anymore
those fleeting thoughts, those sneaking thoughts
tucked away inside that drawer.
The one with the unmentionables
things you're not supposed to see
things unmentioned, good intentions
things I want to be.
I wish my thoughts were honouring
I wish I didn't need the world
to validate, to consumate
my value as a girl.
How come I can't see myself
the way you see me here
as one you made, for whom you paid
so I would just draw near.
Why can't I just accept myself
knowing you have loved me first
I can't depend, I can't defend
those things that make me worse.
I need your infiltration
speaking worth into my heart
reach inside, renew my mind
love me from the start.

this is great.. at first it was kinda repititous but overall very good and very powerful.. oyur prose and word choice is excellent.. great write and good luck..

Awww... but it's too easy to ask... and people don't give enough sometimes so I for one have chosen to expect a little less and build my own self up every now and then a little more... if you know what I mean... gl w/ things + thanx 4 the entry^^
