Time of darkness
raven flies
winds of whirling
gloom conceal.
Captured in
midnight's
howling command
claws reach out
for soul to claim.
Cloying round
circumference echoes
tick tock backgound
takes possession.
Hidden faces
bats of baneful
hypnotic beating
memerise.
No release
with pinprick light
clock strikes midnight
glass slipper shatters.

Great Write
I had to read this one twice to confirm that there WASN'T a rhyme scheme. The flow is such that my mind saw rhymes that didn't exist. A very enjoyable read. -
YOU HAVE BEEN HOODWINKED!
You real weaved a web with the telling of this poem. You set the stage with darkness, whirling wind and ravens. Great job, my friend. Love, D.
