Behind The Times

Riddled in unkempt news, shaking hues, as
silver shades of vain swept corruptively,
dissolving and solving world mysteries.

Late beggars slept in icy promises,
layered in confidence, we lept in faith.
Us, freaks of distinction, running aground.

Lively horrors followed likely stories,
none were yet to be believed, just perceived,
as walking laughter fell behind the times.

Tented pensions, disgraced through calluses.
Theories erased, destiny takes her toll,
last words; "Times of wind-up revolution."

I kinda took something from all of them, just a feeling of disaster, but the one that most inspired me was Crimson Wisteria.

Yes, lots of immagry... the most of it reminded me of desperation and 'huddled masses' so to speak. Very interesting style, I had to stop and think about many of the references.
