Don’t fear the unexplainable parts of yourself.
Eventually we all break down and are forced to gaze
into the face of our personal clutter.
Close your eyes, stare at the graceless beauty of
unchecked emotion that rumbles under everyday life.
Slip fearlessly into yourself,
play in the shadows and nap in the light
watch as the phoenix embraces the flame
listen as Autumn spins into Winter
Feel as your soul fades to translucency
Let the current take you away, be patient, gentle
Release the harness and float to the bottom, wait
Eventually, the ashes will stir
The earth will give way
Your soul will solidify
Don’t fear the unexplainable parts of yourself.
Eventually we all break down and get to gaze
into the face of our personal clutter.

Welcome to allpoetry and thanks for your entry
Very profound and deep. Unfortunatley it does not fit the contest criteria. Please be sure to always read the contest page before entering.
I encourage you to keep writing to read and comment.
God Bless

Wonderful piece. I like the way you tied it all up in the last verse. It was wonderful although I don't see anything in the piece regarding school? Welcome to AP and have fun reading, commenting on others' work and writing your own. AP is a great place to be.

Thanks for the entry and Welcome to AllPoetry
This poem is so true, eventually we all have to face "ourselves". Nice work! Thank you for the entry into our contest and best wishes to you always

Welcome to AllPoetry
A very picturesque write. I really get the feel of things in the autumn when so much of summer is dying but there are so many beginnings as well. Odd how that happens.
This is a great write that reminds me I am no better or worse than anyone else and that introspection is not nearly as scary as it would seem.
Best of luck in the contest. -
Beautiful
I am so touched that something I said could actually help to inspire you. This is a beautiful poem and I will try to take its advice. I feel that maybe if I get the physical parts of my life in order (room, finances, future apartment, school...etc.) then I might be able to get my mental/emotional clutter in order.
See this is why you are my english teacher, you are a great writer!
