I ask

In my faith I ask of thee
To grant me the strength to heal
to do what I must and to conquer -
the darkness in my own heart
To bestow upon me courage
that I can overcome many things
without sin tearing, ripping me apart
I seek the merciful who shall take pity
upon thy humble servant
to hear me as I call to you
a strength and understanding
to continue on, to get up again
when this world seems too demanding

Bequeath me your strength,
for mine alone is weak
I cannot deny my own fears
that it may be too late to save one
but in my faith I ask of thee,
to grant me what I seek
I grieve for the lost
and I cry for the remaining
my heart is beating broken - bleeding
so painful are my cries
I choke on the your breath of life
and as the clouds and shadows fade
Light will descend upon me
and I know you as only wise

Consume me in your power,
Bathe me in your strength -
Hear me cries and taste my sacrifice,
Indulge in what I begift to you -
my entire heart and being
Encircle me in your energy-everlasting
Will it that I know only the silence I crave
and in your honor - Hear my prayer...

By your power
Know the pleas weighing heavily upon my heart -
Dry the tears and sate the need
of the one who dies,
without the warmth of your love
I beg in pure unselfish need that you come to her
Let her feel your grace move through her,
May you fill her with knowledge of what still awaits
I beseech in this moment, here upon my knees
Find her now in this emptiness consuming -
and lift her in your arms, hold her close, soothe her pain
In all your sight,
see that her light does not flicker out,
take her in to you -

By my prayer, go to her this night
By my gift, heal her tonight
As my heart bleeds for this child -
deliver her from darkness into light.
