They say that black is an evil color
They say it's for the dead
But I wear it proudly
Their fears are only in their heads
A funeral isn't the only place
To wear this beautiful shade
And saddness wasn't the only thing
For which the color black was made

This is good, in the south it seems you wear too much black and they lable you a goth which OF COURSE means you are evil *sarcastci tone*

It's a good write. But it only applies to some cultures I think, in China they were red to funerals. And in Japan a black Fox is good luck.

I have personally never heard anyone say that the color black is evil... that's honestly a new one to me. I've heard that it makes you look slimming and that most depressed people wear it.. but evil? That's weird. Interesting piece, needs more though... a tad bit too short.

I don't dress in black because my father took it from me because you told him everything I said. And I am happier then you know, I'm not struggling and trying to fit in with preps anymore, I was miserable then. I found what I like, my own personal style and I'm happy. -
This is such a great write and a wonderful tribute to the colour black. So many people think if you wear black its evil, or its for a funeral like you have said in this poem. Well done, I enjoyed reading this.
