Dawning - Bronze

Surrender to shadow’s slip;
palm to breast,
slippery brush sigh,
birchy arm reach
for more dry autumn skin

slipping on bits of tattered trust,
downed by indecision
she sees darkness
fold his lack of faith
in them

morning etches evidence
of barked shins
having crawled to own
her midnight dreams

Author notes

prompt: "A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world. "
Oscar Wilde

      it is not easy, but it seems to be a lady in waiting that scrolls out once it is triggered. That's all I can say to explain. ty Michael thomas.
