dreams for tomorrow

dreaming of the light ahead
from tribulations of yesterday
giving way to a brighter light
when seeing only a darkened soul
closed forever in an open room of wonder
gazing through dreams of compassion
and tears of bewilderment
where do we journey from here,
only the angels above can tell

Author notes

PROMPT: "A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world. "
Oscar Wilde
