Dreams sought in darkness
marooned in a void
in seclusion of all others
falls into an abyss.
In quest to be foremost
to Spring's blossoming dawn,
hues become pale and ashen
under moonlight's disguise.
In dreaming together
radiant is sunrise,
in seclusion vision's shatter
left atop icy mountains
of misery.
Author notes
prompt is:
"A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world. "
Oscar Wilde

mmm, what a wonderful prhase "become pale and ashen
under moonlight's disguise."
So muchis known and unspoken in midnight thoughts. Soemtimes it is clearer by moonlight than daylight. Well done, pen friend. -
