I walked upon the sun
A bottle of amber in my hand
Letting the flames engulf me
And feeling warmth from within
Just for a single instant
I thought I saw your face
Melting in the world of fire
My arms came loose
And fell into dust
My heart torn out
From just your touch
Upon the sun is where
I heard your voice
A whisper in the dark
My eyes left my body
And I became blind
Not being able to see
The world which I had
Set so skillfully alight
As I walked upon the sun
Thinking only of you
I can’t help but laugh
At the ghosts which
Haunt the highest cliff
Where the heat rises off
And distorts the earth
So far away from me
And I now know without
A single doubt
I will never be coming home
