Silver needle stitching time
Webbing golden years together
Above the cold and tiled floor
Lying warm in arms secure.
Sleepless arms and bodies gather
Weaving moments into one,
Silent-breath and fingers locking
Lying on the lambskin rug.
Milk and honey warm and textured
Moulding contours; wrapt perfection;
Each alone together sleeping
Wrapped above the tiled floor.
Quiet fills the vacant spaces
Our measure of eternity;
Silver needle stitching time,
Webbing gold our years together.

Thanks for entering the contest, I appreciate your effort. As far as poems go this is pretty good, as far as meeting the contest content, it misses the mark. The poem itself is lovely, a portrait and image that will last and linger in my mind for years to come…it just did not fit here but I do admire your skill. Blessings and best wishes, ~richard
