Expeditions of life
are journeys of entombed knowingness,
with hope carefully embraced.
As reflections of confrontations
lay bare the guarded soul,
the urge for gentleness struggles.
Occurrences relived
replace death's breath with
freedom's thought.
Forgiveness' peace
fortifies strickened heart
reforming expeditions into journeys.

Every so often in this journey called life an event occurs that makes all the trials and hardship seem worth while. To me, meeting you and Myra was one such event. To be embraced as family by someone whom I've never met gives me a measure of peace and hope that is pricelss. Good luck in your journey my friend and God be with you and yours.
Sincerely,
Leo Long

I love the reflectiveness of this poem!
Carefully, as if testing a formula, the poem set out in an effort to grasp that which is known and sustained by hope. It reached by freedom and forgiveness towards the process of transformation, when expeditions become not end it themselves, but means to progress towards the true Journey in Love.
How wonderfully you took this stanza by stanza, to "get (the reader) out of (a) sad place" and instigate hope.
Well done Frans, and good luck in the contest.
Love
Myra
