Mother's mantle
in cloak to cover
an earth asleep
rejuvenating.
Lilting flow
of melody,
lullabies played
in purity's tunes.
Mankind
dare not tread
virginity's dress,
in right of passage
for new birth.
Veil of simplicity
is deemed protector
to honour that
which shall renew.
Sleep for now,
arise
life's fervour.

ooops rejuventating should be rejuvenating, just one little typo there, but PLENTY of time to make the correction.
This verse is VERY good. You wound us tight right to that third stanza and BANG let loose with all the might of winter to the end. I loved the build up in this. Very nicely done. Your ending is strong and real. (though I want a period at the end of that last stanza) Stickler for punctuation that I am.
Beautifully written. I am very happy to see this entry in our contest. Very very well done.
