We go through life
Step by step
Day by day
Waiting for tomorrow
never stopping to think
why we were given today
tomorrow is vague
someday i'll retire
or in a few years i'll take a break
i'll take more time off
enjoy my family
later
so why is there today?
why do we live each day
looking forward to the next one
or the next paycheck
the next summer
the next year
life should be lived for each day
not for tomorrow
not to rush through the today
each day was given to be lived
we are given each day so we can live it
so don't waste it
thinking on tomorrow
pondering next year
rushing through each day
live it
so you can live

it is so depressing to see the millions of people who rush through life looking forward to tomorrow, only to realize that they rushed through the best years of their life, without a thought, and without realizing it.
