Jack and The Beanstalk in Wonderland
Jack went out one bright morning
To try to buy a cow
His Mum had said to SELL old Bell
But Jack got confused somehow
Now Jack and his Mum had no money
So he left with beans in his pocket
Thinking of all the new beans they could grow
With enough left over for a locket
For lovely Alice, betrothed to him
Had complained she had no rings
And told Jack not to comeback
Until he could provide such things
On the way to market down the road
He tripped on a stone and fell down
Spilling his pocketful of beans
And they fell all over the ground
Before he could pick them all up
One bean began to grow
What happened next is history
A story we already know
But it wasn’t the giant he climbed up to see
As the bean plant grew taller and taller
It was the giant’s wife for him
Even though Jack was much smaller
He’d heard about this fine lady up there
And wanted her for his own
Alice was nothing compared to her
The only girl he’d ever known
But first he must devise a plan
History had never mentioned this
He had to get rid of that giant
Before his true love he could kiss
I won’t go into the details too much here
As we’ve all heard the story already
But when the giant got a whiff of Jack
He became dizzy, unsteady
Chasing Jack to the beanstalk
Which had grown up to the sky
He stubbed his toe, grabbed hold of that plant
And fell to the ground below from up high
Mrs. Giant danced and sang with glee
To finally be rid of her hubby
And smothered Jack with great big kisses
Even though in stature he was quite stubby
They lived happily ever after
But today it’s still not known
If the giant took Jack’s Mum
Or Miss Alice for his own
