If I had but a feather
I'd give you flight on golden wings
And we'd fly away from this barren dirt
To dance amongst the dreams
But I will need no plumage
To fight an angel's fight
For all I need is one desperate spark
To ward your road by candlelight
For though we walk our lonely ways
We still stride hand in hand
And against the tides of mood and fate
We hold firm to where we stand
And when the world withholds our sun
We will drive back the frigid night
For we are one-winged phoenixes
Broken and bruised but burning bright

Yes, I love this one, the imagery and sensuality really speak to me in ways that alot of poems have yet to do in a really long time. This speaks of a heartache, but also of a refusal of the heart to let the other go. I take my hat off to you, and throw the doors of brotherhood wide for you.
