Only when you look,
Can you really see.
So please look
To see the real me.

I’m not as people think.
Looks can be deceiving.
Can they not?
If you look closely, you would see that.

Only when you listen,
Can you really hear.
So please listen
To hear the real me.

They say talk is cheap.
But listen between the words.
What I say,
Is usually not what I mean.

Only when you are quiet,
Can you really understand.
So please be quiet
And understand the real me.

Please, understand the real me.

    Barb, I think that every teen has these same thoughts...I can see you being tough actually but you're never mean..tho maybe cause you've never banned me...yet hahahaha lol
