Mantles

Missing image
Fluttering from side to side
zephyr's carried
fall's blush
to gentle carpets.

Echoes of laughter
reverberate through time;
we danced and skipped
through radiant hues.

Buried in season's
bed of foliage,
leaping in wonder
to bury our next victim.

In passion's resonance
we make love today
under trust's
glowing blankets.

    Dang zephyrs

Have a habit of showing up downunder I guess!(smile) Under trusts glowing blankets...strange and thought provoking. Hmmm. Glow from the sun? Colored by the Autumn Leaves? Winters greenish glow? So many to choose from.

    NICE

I loved those zephyrs carrying fall's blush to gentle carpets. Beautifully expressed.

And the memories expressed gave me such a nice nostalgic feeling. Truly a wonderfully orchestrated piece. No wasted words; each and every one has hit its mark.

Splendid entry. Wonderful work poet, you have just raised the bar. ~Pamela

This speaks to me of always trusting there will be a tomorrow. That concept just seems to blend well with
Autumn; it's descent and faith that Spring will breathe life into these veins again. Title is perfect. Blue
