Watch
the freckled Sour Patch Kids
Hear their Snickers
as they knock
on old Mr. Goodbar’s door
(He doesn’t know
they laced his yard with
Atomic Bombs)
See their acrobatics
as they pass by?
They’re not somersaults
They’re Tootsie Rolls
The little girl
is dressed
as a Kit Kat-
see the chocolatey whiskers?
The older boy
is from that farm
over the hill-
see the Cow Tail?
His family
is a pack of
Jolly Ranchers
In their sour patch, they grow
Candy Corn
On their orchard
are Candy Apples
Those kids are Twizzlers
Twizzling, twitching witches
But at their core
they’re really sweethearts

I absolutely love how you brought different candies in to be a part of this story/poem. That is so clever and made me smile a lot. It also made me want candy
Great Job! Thank you for entering and best of luck to you!
