Power of Love

A tsunami so fierce
devours all in it's path
as bigger and bigger it grows
until, all at once,
such power does it store
that small people, so defenseless
tremble at it's passion

They don't understand at first
the passion and terror it inspires,
with such unknown potential
breaking forth, slowly at first
'till all at once, in a rush it flows
unstoppable it seems

The sensation swelling within the chest
longing for those held dear
each person known to a tsunami observer
unwittingly encourages the passionate power
while the feelings inside increase
as bigger and bigger they feel the emotions grow

The feelings suit
they cause such joy
the power is unstoppable
and people tremble to think
of only its unknown potential

Though the tsunami swallows everything
we find things not destroyed
despite the spreading water,
how could such a power
leave behind only such joy?

How wonderful the discovery is
that such fierce power leads not to destruction
but only to passion for those we know?

The feeling inside
grows and gains power, momentum and care
though recognition of the burning sensation
creates peace in place of turmoil
through the realization that
Love Conquers All
