I cannot kiss you lightly
for things I dare not say,
rise quickly to my lips
I must then turn away.

Would that I could
but reach my hand
your arm in my embrace;
to stroke it gently,
silken locks of burnished copper
sun kissed curls
upon toned muscled frame
that covers your fragility.

Pure spirit of love’s union,
born upon a night’s twin starry sky,
kissed gently your cheek in my stead

lest my silence break to loose
the bonds that keep
  our distance
  for now.

Just a couple of commas would really make this flow a touch better but I really like the whole theme. Thank you for entering.

I haven't seen the movie but your poem makes it sound like it's a good movie. I'll have to see it sometime.
You did a great job on your poem. Thanks for your entry.

Very beautiful concept, there was something about it that caught my eye, very descriptive and very played, in such a way that keeps you wondering,
Thank you for entering the contest… I really liked the opening line very strong and drags you into the sensual feeling, and the last line, very well played, to those heart that suffer in distance, very good job!

    Thanks for your entry.

This is exquisite but kind of melancholy as well.
