The flattery has September
cool still breezes
and fellowship collage
dance on limbs
sting the sleepy bee not
calling verses to harbor
ships gently flow the waterways
tingling and fluttering the sky
the reds and the greens
gush in the heart
from silky warmth's tease into gallant winds
the colorful plumage evades the earth
and anchor's on our harbor in a leaf storm,
stupendous painting from above,
pauper flattery in the breeze,
naked are the trees
where no frown at loss
time come's back to happiness

I love the movement of the words as if travelling...sailing into the mind.

Thanks for sharing and I wish you all the best in the contest.

Love the reference to sailing . Leaves and brisk winds do indeed mark the journey of fall.
