When holding that pretty stick
And the way her body sways
Even though she feels so sick
After tipping bottle after bottle
Up to her painted mouth
It's living life she's after
Having it inside her
She could do without
More pills than are prescribed
Saving them for another day
Just to take twice to feel alright
And sleep the next day away
She hates the taste of food
It's the only poison she hates
When it passes her lips
It's three fingers she tastes
A hedonistic little doll
Wandering the streets
With music 'round her neck
And various treats
Roaming in her injured body
That she keeps bony thin and lean
More clothing in her laundry
Is just another thing she doesn't need
Living life for herself
Only to die early
Fast and faster, all to hell
Is the way to live... surely
She can't be bothered with
A screaming ball of fat
When self-destruction is all she knows
And living definitely won't last
Mother murder sits with friends
A few with chemicals in hands
And laughter than never ends
No one knows of her plans
Too cheap to ask a doctor
And to proud to ask for a pill
That won't make her taller
So all she can do is kill
When it's gone she'll go on
Like nothing ever happened
Drinking, smoking, lying and so on
And so forth until the end
When the music ceases to play
And the streets all corrode
Into nothing and she'll say
"I guess it's my time to go"
She'll lie down in her bed
With the red one and the blue
Follow them up without dread
Of what that liquid will do
Mother murder will pat the concave
Of her starved beauty
Count the ribs and the minutes
Until there's none to be

option 2
I guess we can all figure out what this is about. A young girl who's too selfish to even think of giving birth and too poor to get a professional abortion poisons herself with a lot of shit and starves herself so she'll miscarriage and then years (maybe 5-7 tops) she's lived life pretty fast and thinks she's at her peak and is afraid to slow down so she commits suicide.
Far from reality?
I think not.

I really liked this poem. It is not too showy, and the language flows well in most places. The poems sincerity and depth of emotion are touching, despite how depressing they are. Thank you for adding a contrasting voice to this subject.

This is amazing. It reminds me of Sylvia Plath.
