If you can smell the devil's breath
I know where you are.
If you are sitting in a deep,
Dark depression with suicidal thoughts
I know where you are.
If you are chained by and
Bound by drugs and alcohol
I know where you are.
See I've been to all these
Places all at once, and it's
No place for anyone to be.
You might think there's no way
Out, but I want to tell you a
Miracle is waiting for you.
I may not be the best one
To be talking to you, for I do not know
All of the Bible scripture's by heart.
But I can tell you it's only by the
Grace of God and Jesus Christ
That I no longer live in the darkness.
I was told to open my heart and arms
Ask for forgiveness, and to accept
Jesus Christ as my savior.
I was told it was time to pray,
only for His Knowledge, strength
And the will to carry it out,
Now don't get me wrong.
This takes time and courage and lots
Of Faith, with each Prayer I could feel
His strength growing inside.
He waits for you, come bring yourself
To God, believe in Him,
Ask for Forgiveness and you too shall be saved.
You will be freed and then recovery is possible.
Do not worry about stumbling around
At first, it's okay it will take time for
You to learn to lay your burdens upon Him,
And walk steady, keep your Faith
If you are sick and tired of living,
Yet sick and tired of dying
And what out of the rat race
I know where you are.
Please come and open you heart
Feel the warmth and see the light
That you have been so missing.
He keeps his promises
Ask and you shall receive
Seek and you shall find
Knock and He will answer.
So if you are lost and lonely
Chained and bound
I know where you are
Take that first step
And admit you are powerless
And begin the wonderful life of recovery.
