She stayed up late
wating for a text.
To distract her from it all.
Till she cried her self to sleep
with a pen in her hand
writing letters to a long lost friend.
Well they come to her with gossip,
lies,
and truth
wondering if their too young to wed.
She just doesn't get why as
she's in love with one taken
she's able to determine if their ready.
And another ships out
as another comes home
leaving her feeling alone.
Missing the days of clase and swings
when friends forever could happen
and boys we're still icky.
Back when no one wanted advice.
Now she's missing that guy
and holding a heart
wondering if dreams do come true.
Waking from dreams
with a pen in her hand
and letters to a long lost friend.
