I want to know you

I want to know you
inside and out
what makes you, different
what your all about.

I want to know you
all the secrets you've kept
all your imperfections
and all the tears you've wept.

I want to know you
so you'll never hesitate
if your not ready
I will gladly wait.

I want to know you,
love you till the end
Be your closest
and most cherished friend.

I want to know you
and see your life
standing beside you
as your wife.

    Most Impressive

I will admit this is one of my favorite songs presently. For personal reasons, I can relate to the song as well as your take on it.

    I want to know you
    all the secrets you've kept
    all your imperfections
and all the tears you've wept.

Simply very moving words that when viewed by the right person. The person who inspired you to write it in the first place.

Thank you for sharing your heart and your time with us here. best of Luck in the Contest and Life. PureCountry aka Richard

wow i so knew that "Take me there" was your inspiration when i read this, same as your other poem about the picture to burn (i'm going to see taylor swift in concert opening for Brad Paisley!!! =D...but that's another story!) the last line totally shocked me, it was amazing and i wasn't expecting it!!!!!!

Mmmmm..... it's wonderful rhyming, and i admire that. 'specially since i can't rhyme worth beans. but it doesn't seem to have the passion for truly, truly good poetry. it seems kind of flat in that area. it's like you have this idea you want to write about, but it's just a desire, not an urge. i hope that makes sense.

I thought we decided this was a mediocre song...

but you certainly didn't write like it was...this was a really good song based poem...in my personal opinion, I liked the depth in your poem better than in the song...like I said, they only got one good line in that song...but you have quite a few...great write!
