In A Perfect World

In a perfect world there is no pain,
no aches or suffering for which to complain.
In a perfect world there are no tears,
no sickness for which to base our fears.
In a perfect world there is no rage,
no anger for which to engage.
In a perfect world there is no stress,
no tension or difficulty for which to distress.
In a perfect world there are no lies,
no deceit for which others disguise.
In a perfect world there is no one inferior,
no one any better for which to feel superior.
In a perfect world there is no one to control you,
no power for which they can misconstrue.
But we aren't in a perfect world as you know,
so try and learn from the experiences and grow.

Good advice! I'd look at the rules again, though, in case you are removed for not following them.

Hi Blueskyes If you go back to the contest page, the holder of the contest posted rules, one was about how many lines the poems should be and one was about putting a comment in the author's notes of the poem (a comment they gave you to put in the author's notes). They obviously didn't DQ your poem for those reasons and didn't mention those things, so maybe it's not a problem, I dunno.

To add something to your author's notes, you can go to the poem page, click on edit (upper right hand corner somewhere) and go down toward the bottom below your poem and there is a field for author's notes.

Let me know if you need anymore help. Left it up to you to go to the contest page and check out the rules for the experience.

        Write on!
