When days are dark and gray,
All tears that were cried go unnoticed,
And dreams disappear with the winds,
The colours of hope run to the earth.
Standing outside and all alone,
In the middle of a muddy footy oval,
My black shoes soak, whither and fall apart,
Just like my thoughts which can't stand together,
This moment feels like it will last forever,
But one little ray of light holds true,
That light could have been my imagination,
Because it was so far away.
But rains never last forever on end,
The sun will follow its guiding ray,
So tears will be seen and healed,
Till all hurts are gone and colours are reborn.
Author notes
I used the picture 'shoes' as inspiration.
