(D)
And so it commences
Much luck to you, my opponent
When the moment finally arrives
I will strip you of your celestial wings
(K)
Fighting fair, dark demon, for what
We both request to claim
But this struggling soul is only mine
I will not play your game
(D)
Kneel down and take the weight, fair angel
Eat the sin of this treacherous child
But the past never fades – an open wound
This soul is afire
(K)
In your burning eyes
Your hunger for those in need
With love, hope and assurance
I urge this one not to give into your selfish greed
(D)
Fight fair!
How you seem to know no flaws
But when the evil finally breaks through
Who is there when the curtain falls?
(K)
Unconditioned love, my friend
Forgiveness to those who lose
Lay down your tricks, stop your games
It’s not your path to choose
(D)
Choose, you say?
Don’t insult me with your disregard
For what dealings make this world so dim
It’s too late, this heart is scarred
(K)
Never too late, never give up
Bless the sinful and heal the weak
I cannot back down for this spirit–
When it is Hell you seek
(D)
Mine for the taking, I can assure you
The only way out is down
So I wear my kind smile
You wear your sad frown
(K)
Open hearts can learn to love
It is never too late to start over again
Not when God can forgive
There is loving faith in men
(D)
I believe in forgiveness, yes, my dear
Believe in it so well
I know for a fact all sins forgiven
With an eternity to spend in Hell
(K)
I ask once more
Leave this one to me
I know the will of finding love
Even if you are too blind to see
(D)
Remember chaos, my Heavenly one
Somehow forgive is to forget
And you know there is no way not to remember,
Those at fault pay their debt
(K)
Another chance, another moment
To mend what has been broken
God lifts those up who trip into darkness
His love whispered unspoken
(D)
Those who go astray
And fall off your path of righteousness
Are ours for the taking
In our welcome arms, those few you are forsaking
Author notes
We decided on taking this in a fun direction, choosing an argument between Heaven and Hell, angel and demon over the soul of a person and questioning some things.

I love this. It seems so fitting that you would argue light, because you embody it so well. You seem to be the person always willing to heal, and share the weight of another's world, if it will only give them a moment of rest. Why is it that you do this? I am hoping someday I shall be able to afford you the same comfort should you ever need it. This is a very wonderful write. I would imagine the two of you should have won this contest. Perhaps I should go see who did. I have no idea what could have been more fitting then this. A very wonderful write. I shall remember to tell Damian it amused me~

Oh dear, this write was SO hard to do because we have such different styles that I was like "no, I can't write that, it sounds stupid because you write too well". I fight for the light because, I don't know what else to do. Hehe. Thanks for the kind words, perhaps I will see you later, I have to go get Grace from a play date.
Take care!

This is so BADASS
I'm LOVE it!!! It's a great argument and I love the irony worked in! Fabulous job for the both of you!!! I hope you place in the contest with a piece like this. It's dark and somehow a little humorous in a dark morbid way.
Excellent, excellent, excellent work!!
