Bleed for you

My heart, my soul
my love, my dreams
my blood

You stole my heart,
tore it to pieces
watched as I fell from grace
did nothing as my soul screamed
cried out in pain, in anger
listened as a soul died

I watched you take my love for granted
give your own away to another
felt your ignorance tear me more
you watched me desperately grasp onto faded dreams
lose hope when I had nothing left
looked upon my body as it too died with everything else I had

You took everything
my heart, my soul
my love and my dreams
but to you I give my blood
the crimson rivers that flow from my veins
the flood of everything you gave to me
everything I never wanted
I bleed for you.

I loved how the beginning came back at the end. It seemed to tie the whole thing together. It's a very emotional piece and something that many can relate to even if they didn't physically bleed. Thanks for your entry and good luck!

wow, twisted ending, i really like that, (i'm glad you already told me your not suicidal) I also really loved how your beggining and end were related, way to tie the poem together. I don't know how you mannage such wonderful imagery, but it is truly fantastic. I can almost see myself in her place, and...given your ending that doesn't sound like the best place to be. Great write!

This is so very sad. Deeply emotional about a woman who has given everything - even all of her life - to have it thrown back in her face. Wonderful and deeply sad piece.
