Smitten

Could it be you I have been seeking;
the one who's longing is my own
desire to give my life
to have, to hold and dedicate my soul?

More than my arms, it is my being
with which I surround you
consuming my every breath

There is a realm that beckons
the surrender of my restless spirit
into the resurrection of man
kneeling before Him at your side

Haha... Maybe it's because you used the word smitten and the only other place I've heard that word used is in this movie but it totally made me think of Lonesome Dove! And the relationship between Gus and Clara... I know you've probably never even heard of that movie but it's awesome and their relationship is very sweet. I know this is supposed to be a spiritual piece but ... my mind wanders and Yeah... it's a crazy train. Ciao!

Wow, you can hear the spiritualness come through the poem, along with love as well.
Very nice feel that your trying to convey.
    Keep up the good work!

This is truly beautiful you write emotions as an art form for sure! The feelings of love are not only justified but honored! Love these lines -
to have, to hold and dedicate my soul?
    into the resurrection of man
kneeling before Him at your side
You dowload emotions in a wonderful gift! I like also it creates a spiritual growth in the relationship. I feel the same powerful feelings with my tender half. Nice balance between soul and heart.

cherchez, love cannot be love unless God is the main focus of the relationship. And it is obvious that He is the main ingredient here. Thank you for you lovely praise
