first came the words
then came the pain
i thought it was absurd
that the pain always stayed.
you said you would stop hurting me
but your actions never changed
now it don't bother me as you can see
no matter how much you get outraged.
the numbness is all i can feel
when your around me
you think it's all a thrill
all of my pain is your glee.
now that im not feeling pain
your now starting to care
to you its no longer a game
but now i dont think we should be a pair.
Author notes
this guy who i have loved for 8 years made me feel this way and this is my way of letting him go.

I liked this piece, lol I clicked it cuz I thought it was on a list, wrong title lol my bad, however your write was good!

Firstly, let me say I'm glad you're letting him go... no one deserves to be hurt like that! I can really feel the emotion in this poem, and the rhyming is good. The flow is ruptured a little at points by uneven syllable count, but overall a good write! Thank you for entering!

Oh your more than welcomed sweetie. I hope you find that love that will set your heart free of all chains. Again, I'm so proud of you for taking a stand and walking away from such pain. I know it was hard to do, but you did it and I'm glad.

I'm so glad that you are letting him go. YOu know you deserve better than what he's been issuing out to you. I'm proud of you... I really am..
Wonderful job at expressing yourself and letting go.

8 years? I am so sorry that he hurt you, terribly sorry. I do believe that you could've taken a bit more of your pain and spread it all throughout your words. But overall, this is rather powerful. Great write.
