How the Angels wept that day

How the angels wept that day
The greatest man who ever lived
hung upon a tree
nails driven through his hands and feet
a crown of thorns lay on his head
spear pierced through his side
they're mockery complete
they gambled for his clothing
calling King of the Jews
save yourself
they never knew the choice was his
made in love
to save us instead
ten thousand tears the angels shed
ten thousand tears and more
as Jesus whispered forgive them Father
they know not what they do

before he hung his head
how the angels wept that day
for the world the gift was given
the Lord Jesus died for all our sins
now in the tomb to rise again
heaven bound to plead our case
as we live our imperfect lives
His beauty his amazing grace

    This is excelent.

This is so very well written and I loved all of it you couldn't have phrased this any better. I can see that day as if I was there. This also is an accurate depiction of that day as we have read in the bible as well as have heard all of our lives, no greater love has he than to give his life for us. Good luck in the contest.

Oh, How I love this! My opinion is that the world has forgotten all about the gift He gave us then. I think He loves us, no matter. But in the end we will be judged. Great poem, Rheea. Shivers down the spine.
I love all it, can't pick just one line or verse. Keep it up.
