Twilight Kiss

As I watch twilight kiss
goodnight the sleepy brush
distant amber hues rise above
divinities edge

quietly, gently

the dragonfly ripples
her song
to vanish upon her murky shores

melancholic upon the carpet marsh,
still air murmurs a lofty breeze
to dance in arms of autumn
leaves

breathlessly-

I welcome the dazzled delight
emerge from day

                          to starlit night.

    This is euphoric for me.

One of my favorite topics to read and write is nature, so this is just magic. I love the rhythmic flow to this and the metaphors. Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year. It's a splash of the divine, as far as I am concerned. I see Autumn as I peer through imaginary kaleidoscopes.

This is exquisite, Mally. I love "the dragonfly ripples her song.' This poem is definitely trophy-worthy. The personification of Twilight's Kiss' is simply astounding. Luv ya, Bellie (yer Southern sister-in-law? right) ha

I think you captured this picture well. Very soft and gentle are your words you have penned. Almost a silent whisper hush over the marsh...~Sie

    EXCELLENT

This is simply beautiful imagery in words. You need no picture poet to make your vision clear. Breathtaking. I loved it. Very very well done. ~Pamela
