Look around the world you'll see
nobody's perfect - not even me
Prom night I lied to my mother
years later sold drugs to my brother
Those days I spent in jail
got out and then skipped bail
Look around the world you'll see
nobody's perfect - not even me
What's that you say? "You are"
I remember that fight at the bar
or the time you stoled that car
The day you made me cry
you just left with no good-by
Look around the world you'll see
nobody's perfect - not even me
To say you're perfect, man
well, I don't think you can
So come on and just admit
you're not perfect - don't throw a fit
Look around the world you'll see
nobody's perfect - not even me
In all the world around
there's only one who can be found
The perfect one who waits
in heaven, beyond the pearly gates
Like I said before my friend
nobody's perfect and has never been

excellent point. nobody isn't perfect and yet people try to act or think like they are. nice message in the poem. it has a nice ring to it. i'm not perfect either.look around the world you'll see nobody's perfect-even me. well formed and easy on the line rhymes. first line rhyme then second. space out. but well done and thanks for entering.

love the take on the prompt. wonderful write indeed. your repition added to it and made it flow wonderfully. there were a few parts where the rhyming seemed forced but not many. many people find themselves thinking they are perfect but the best people in life are really the ones who realize their imperfections and take actions. very nice write. thanks so much for your entry and best wishes.

I may not be perfect
in the classic sense, but I'm perfectly flawed... does that count? Interesting write. Keep on keepin' on. -
So true indeed
When we are young we are given so many choices in life so why do we follow the choices of ones so young and not listen to the choices of those who knows what is to be . Stand tall and be the one who chooses to live each day to its fullest for if you choose the other the days become shorter and the joy will disapear memories will be a thing of the past and you will no longer care . Indeed we are all guilty of not being perfect yet we do have a choice to move each day in that direction very well written piece you have here
