Another deep dark night, another plane
Yet now I smile as I sit cramped in here
For only nine more hours alone remain
Until I see the face of her so dear
Each mile I fly brings me closer to home
To eyes so bright and kisses warm and soft
The pain of parting when I start to roam
Forgotten now my heart flies high aloft
And yet I truly never left her side
For we are one and cannot really part
Each waking moment thoughts of her abide
And dreams keep her forever in my heart
As I once more traverse the skies above
The long night flight brings me back to my love

This was written on the plane after a three week trip away from the love of my life.

Beautiful write. Wonderful flow and emotion. It makes me think of how even when people are apart from each other for awhile, love knows no distance and can always survive.
