Let's go on as we did-
Act like this never happened
As with a ruined citadel
I'll walk through these ashes
And I'd prefer we not speak of this
But I think I'd be fine...
So long as your gaze never reaches my eyes
And surely the fault of this mess isn't mine?
I can no longer distinguish my thoughts from your rhymes
(Everytime I read them I try not to cry)
But let me apologize now for the statement before
That I find your love to be fiction, not more
That for the mortal man the clock tower stops not
You can't prevent the sun from rising on a sundial
Nor bade the ticking hand stop
It'll never wait to hear you demands
There's no time to convince me
Or make one final stand
For if anything I wish that you'd take your words back
Cause the way it tears me to pieces makes my heart seem black
And I just can't identify this love I have for you too
But I think if ever there was a thing to forget
Though how it pains me to say it-
It's that you and I ever met.
Please tell me what you think

Scheme is awesome!
Thanks for your review of Forgotten in Time, and though I don't usually review just because someone reviewed my work, I do however, always go to their page and check out their stuff (hope you don't mind ) and was blown away by this piece in particular. Though it may be wrong of me (and purists hate it) I think rhyme and flow sounds awesome, and the imagery you've created is perfect. 'As with a ruined citadel / I'll walk through these ashes?' Surely a woman after mine own heart . Anyways, thanks again, and you pretty much rock. Cheers.
