Little girl, little girl
why do you hide your smile
Running from the bullies
hiding from the pain
never stopping to seek happiness
Scared, alone and lonely
little girl, can you smile
...She's growing up
learning to be tough
Fighting her battles
disguising her pain
being angry to stop from being afraid
She's built a wall
to protect herself
can't afford to be hurt again
Her momma says
that spark is gone
the twinkle in her eyes
Little girl, growing up
when can we see your smile
Every-time she let someone in
they never stayed for long
Can you blame her for building that wall
Doesn't believe in love
Doesn't believe in good
can only see the sad side of things
she's feeling so left out
so needy and weak
She hate's feeling that way
the little girl who grew up
So she's learning to be lonely
Can this little girl ever learn to seek the happiness
Will we ever see her smile
Please tell me what you think

Wow. I can SERIOUSLY relate to this. I used to be happier, in a sense, but then I was bullied and teased terribly. That's how I became tougher and I don't really trust anyone anymore. I'm afraid of being hurt. This is exactly what I went through, and I feel so elated to read this.
- Misfortune.
