I've witnessed turbulent tears,
awaiting the calm tranquility.
Washed away on spent years,
pleading for our serenity.
Each ray that lays upon the horizon,
an embrace I seek to find.
Time is not totally gone,
just standing still within my mind.
Rocky shores have challenged me,
as I know they've caught you too.
Yet, still a chance to fly so free,
sharing wings to shelter you.
Words drifting o'er ocean breeze,
I'll watch the setting sun within your eyes.
Cry no more, I ask you please,
for this is just what it implies.
An offering of soul and heart,
a deepest friendship, if you will.
For life renewed, again will start,
until then, time stands still.
What once has set, will rise again,
and I hope that you may see,
I'd give my wings so you may then
one more time, fly free.

So, this goes a bit beyond just the border for inspiration.

I love it!
Wonderful are your words and a great match for the border!
(I could say my life too!)
Thanks for this winning entry!

Thanks for the gold sweetie. Yes, you could say your life, mine as well. Why do you think it was more than the border for inspiration. I meant it.
Wish you would have gotten more entries, but glad that you liked this.
