Nightmare

A blue moon lay across a sea of stars,
hovering in hums mystery, stealing dreams
seeped through lids no longer agape.

Still sand sparkle like confetti,
dissolving memories crinkled in arrival,
morphing unpleasant dreams with no escape.

Torment's lather, puppeteer twitching limb,
tossing inadvertently, fleeing ravens talons
in fog of blue under the ghastly gaze of deceiver

Wrestling amidst tentacles brings chills on nape,
planting legs in sands quick, swallowing heroism,
harvesting quilts of insecurity that lingers forever.

Screams choked by silence, drown hope in tints of red,
echoing freefall from mountain heights, into jagged edged
cesspool ever falling without any cushion... whatsoever.

Agape like the jaws wide of a lion, heart pumps red plasma,
in entangled tubes spearing throughout being, while prayers
resonate from damned in hopes of an end of the endeavour.

Vitals decline duties, reaching for breaths halt,
death inevitable, psychological defeat storms,
bottom is a scream away... alarm buzz ..

nightmare severs

Wow. Did I ever tell you that your poetry has been getting better since I first met you? It seems to be so much fuller and more vivid than your older poems. Are you taking some of the classes that they do on here? Because your poems are really getting good.
