A Lie I Knew Was True

He had a face
Which looked like a harbinger of a storm
With eyes that saw nothing but silence

We would always walk together
With nothing exchanged between us
Nothing said that meant anything

I would always look at him
He would always have that smile
That smile which told you that everything was never what it seemed

His face itself was a lie
Lying about everything it stood for

People thought he was happy
People thought he was everything they wanted to be
Although he never looked me in the eye
And yet he never looked away

To this day
His visage haunts me

To this day
His shadow is cast over my mind

Very sad, the imagery shows alot of creative wording and describes a beautiful story. The ending [last two stanzas] was a very awesome way to end this, an intriguing piece. Very nice concept brought forward from the image provided.

    Much Luck

I agree with the comment below. I love the melancholy playing within the words, your words.

Thanks for sharing and best of luck my friend.
