wandering
in slumber’s sultry envisage
enticing imaginings
draped in organdy hues
of magical moments spent
on moonlit pampas
where impassioned mouths met
in rougeberry rapture
savoring the dew spring
that moistens bare skin
of bodies inextricably entwined
in the pinion
of passionflower’s clinch
as swanflowers,
nodding with the cadence
of lubricious loins lost in lust,
bow their heads in silent secrecy
memories confined
in the sandglass of time
play back
while morning mist
jackets purple meadow rue
and morningstar
fills the skies with afterglow
a risqué reverie
of where once we laid
in wildflower fields
sipping nectar
from moon’s silvern ladle
in the velvet abyss of nocturnal bliss
tumbling towards ecstasy

The very notion of there being swanflowers made me chuckle with delight, Luna. As always, Mary, your descriptions are lucid, vivid and pulsating with light. Thank you for entering my contest, my Friend. Good luck, Sweetie.

In all honesty, I do not even know where to begin. I truly wish you could see my face at the completion of my reading this piece. My jaw was literally sitting on the floor. I am truly stunned beyond all definition of the word. Your metaphors are incredible! The imagery, phenomenal! Your quill is goldenly spun with sensual delicacy I am honored to have bore witness to here! Thank you for entering and good luck!
Blessings

"where impassioned mouths met

Girl...girl...girl... where do you get the metaphors from?! OMG! This had to drop from the Heavens into your spirit! Beautiful! Everything about this is wondrous my sister!
I am so lost in the splendor of this work. The imagery is absolutely stunning, I want to be here. I have been there, and am missing being there now!
Oh darlin'...this is the winner, I am for sure! I gracefully bow the hell out of the way! LOL
BRAVO!
I don't have any wishes of luck because this poem is the total BOMB! Baby you scare me. I must go study this art form now, for I know it not. You've earned your PH.D. as far as I am concerned. You can take that crap about "not being a writer" off your page. LMAO
You lie...surely you lie!
BRILLIANT!
Much Love Always ♥

Sensuality in Swan...
Oh my, Mary....you are really blossoming into THE poet of sensuality, my friend!! I can't seem to find the words to describe or even praise your poems of late. They are just exquisite, sultry, super sensual, yet so very elegant - just like the swan here! I so loved the weave of sensuality and nostalgia here - the revisting and reliving those special moments... I can only sigh. And "swanflowers"...oh I can see them gently gliding and opening their wings on love's waters.. Simply beautiful, beautiful poetry!!
