Name on the roadside

Name on the roadside is what im gonna be
I left school early i was using one of my free's
I moved so quickly i heard the wind against my ear
It happens suddenly a paths name is what i fear

Name on the roadside is soon to be me
Names on the roadside i will not fade from memory
my loves my laughter will echo free
Name on the roadside a sign of tragedy

The sounds are eerie as darkness settles iiiin
I hear them shouting
Is it for me or is it for him
He didnt see me i dont see anything
Name on the roadside and the sadness it will bring

Name on the roadside is soon to be me
Names on the roadside i willnot fade from memory
my loves my laughter will echo free
Name on the roadside a sign of clarity

the roses have settled
the roses have settled
the roses have settled
THE ROSES HAVE SETTLED
my name on the pavment sourly missed...

    Abe

This poem I relate to perhaps a tragic death that could have been avoided with some guidance. You have painted me a picture of a young life no more

This is a really great poem, welcome to Allpoetry.

It's kind of strange because about 4 weeks ago, two guys from my school died and 2 were in hospital after a car crash in one of their free's.

I love each and every line of this, it's brilliant, haunting...just great.

Keep up the good work and take care x

    Wow

I can really see the image to unfold and the roses by the roadside that are left to pay respect
