I try to rise
to consciousness
slow sluggish
struggle.
Recurrent...
I know what comes next.
Just don't ask me how
I came to be here
on the top of the Tower
overlooking the Seine.
Winds gust
bringing iron
to sway with a groan.
Rivet eyes watch
as I plunge down head first
enshrouded in dread.
A new realization hits
before I do
this time.
I fell off
Eiffel.
I woke as usual
heart pounding
yet relieved
laughing hysterically.
I've never had the dream again.

This is a very fresh take on the contest. I like that it's a dream and it is personally meaningful to me. "Just don't ask me how."
