I have prepared a bed of Roses for you my beloved
Laying  you down, I will love you with my mind
for I am obsessed with you
 
My mind is full of a fire that burns your name
into my consciousness
You have aroused my passion
longing and waiting to blend
your exotic essence with mine

I want to look into your eyes, penetrating deep within
that which is your soul
I long to drink of your lips for they hold the mysteries of life
I could not live without them
wanting only to know the mysterious being
that is you

I can never tire of you for that will eliminate my own existence
My heart would never beat the same without
your body next to mine
Our hearts are always in sync
 
I thrive in your aura
your light holding on to my breath
I have lost all my senses
I have nothing but my sense of love for you

You are my eternal love

    I would have given you a trophy for this one...

    I thought this was beauty and power and the power of just giving is so profound isn't it? I saw a comment that this is almost like the love a slave has for a Master ... it is. This was a shining pearl of a love poem. It is one of my favorites of the entries in this contest. Please write on and oh ... thank you for making me dream as I read this.

    Again; this is soul-love, such vibrancy, which sets the heart of any man beating that much faster. Shoulsd a woman speak to me in such a way, then I could do no more than love her into oblivion... Delightful...

    This almost sounds like a slave talking to her master. This need to disappear become so much a part of someone else that your existence becomes them. I have to think on this.
