They enter while I sleep
The feelings, the thoughts
that are unwelcome
The ideas that pass through my mind
vividly erupt
as my soul tosses and turns
and my mind keeps rolling
strip by strip
Dream by Dream
Why?
They are the notions my mind has created
that are in disharmony with my soul
They want different things
they know of different things
When will my mind cease disagreement?
When will it proclaim what my soul does so deeply?
Soon I hope...it is a dream of mine
and though my mind fights to enshroud my dreams
I will overcome
I am my soul
I am my soul
And my dreams will soon become
the dreams of my mind and my soul
In harmony
in purity
in love

Thank you for your entry into my contest, you talent and hard work are very much appreciated. I liked this short poem, with its twist on a much uttered phrase of tossing and turning. It was beautifully written and the ending was just right for it. Some of the lines were, perhaps just a little to long so taht they jangled instead of jingled, but over all a great poem and keep up the good work. Great job and good luck.
Your Host,
Tiphanie
p.s sorry for not getting back to you sooner, I have had little time for anything other than studying and going to class and so it has taken way longer than most of my other contests. Any way, hope you are well.
