What do you see through my eyes?
Do you see a reflection of what once was
of what has been
Do you see an old tired soul
weary from its travels
broken, beaten and withered
Do you see a strong woman
ready to leap at a moment's notice
into the arms you hold out to me
so willingly with Divine Grace
Or, do you see yourself
and what you fear most
in these pools of slate blue haze
looking back at you
Everywhere
in the prisms of the shadows
lies the truth
behind the eyes
