I’m in the moment
And I’m willing to risk
My heart for you.
I feel the burn,
The ache,
When you gaze into my soul.
Your eyes are so oblivious,
As mine are longing.
You have no idea
How your smile illuminates my universe.
Your laugh echoes in my ears
And the reverberations sustain me.
The sound of your voice,
I’d bottle up and wear,
Just to have you near me.
Will you be my everything?
Will we laugh together?
Cry together?
Will you hold me in your arms
When my world comes crashing down?
Will you love me too?
The butterflies flap against
The walls of my stomach.
My heart beats like a gong,
the vibrations, nauseating.
Our eyes lock
And for a moment you are mine
Before I look down
And walk away.
